SAVED BUT STUPID

As I prepared for this topic, I decided to share my thoughts with some people and I noticed they had a struggle with it. The question they asked is, "is it possible to be SAVED (Sanctified) and yet be stupid (lacking no sense)?
It's like asking," is it possible for someone to go to school and still be Uneducated?"
My prayer is that, the Father would open our eyes to understand His word.

Today's passage is the story of the Ten Virgins and the pursuit to meet the Bridegroom. The story is like watching a romance movie that is supposed to have a happy ending... But something happened along the way.
Before we go into what happened later, let's take a closer look that those Girls - Bride to be.

The Bible recorded that they were virgins. In other words, they were undefiled, they kept themselves with the hope that someday they would get married to their husband.
So first thing they did was that, they believed that their is a reward coming for them (which in this case is the bridegroom) and because of that, they set themselves apart from what other girls of their time were doing.
Do you think that those Ten girls were the only girls in that Village? Why was it just the Ten of them that were selected?

The second thing we see here is that, they started a journey - to go meet the bridegroom. Not only did they hope (believed) in the bridegroom, they worked out their faith, they took their lamps, said their goodbyes to family members and friends and moved to place of meeting. But despite the fact that all of them were Virgins and they all heard the call and left, yet the Bible also said, Five (5) were wise and 5 were foolish.

This brings us back to the first question, how can one be a virgin, set apart, hoped and waited for bridegroom and yet be foolish?
Can one be saved - born again and yet foolish about the kingdom purpose?

Another scripture I would love us to look at is the same Matthew 25:14-30. The parable of the talents. The Bible recorded that a certain master had 3 servants he had been with and trained for a while (although the time isn't specific), but a time came for him to travel and he handed down talents to them and trusted them to trade (do business) with it.
How can the hand you talent and you just keep it to yourself? He assumed that when he keep it safe, it would keep him safe.

The similarity of this two passages is the fact that some people maximized the opportunity that was given to them and didn't play safe, while some others did. The just assumed that what the master should want and that the bridegroom would take a long time to come to them, so they didn't carry extra oil.

Today, we have a lot of Christians who are saved, Tongues speaking and yet have no clue about the expectations of the Master.

One of the misunderstood scripture is Matthew 28:19-20
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
We assume that Jesus was only talking about preaching and opening churches. But what we fail to understand is that fashion is a world of its own. That football has its own world and written need to enter into all these worlds to raise disciples for Jesus.
Have you wondered why he blessed you with that wonderful voice? And why didn't he take you away when you were born to go and join the choir in heaven?
Sir/ma, it's to make disciples, it is to trade with it - that the King suffer NO LOSS.

Stop assuming sir and get prepared. Stop talking ma and discover your purpose and put it to FULL use.
You were created for a PURPOSE, being SAVED is not just enough for you to just sit around and cause more problems for other believers.
The reason there's much envy and problems in the Church today is because we've not discovered our purpose and so when we see others who has, we hate and persecute them.

Maybe the reason the bridegroom delayed is for the girls to be ready and prepared themselves. Maybe the reason you're still here and you're hearing this today is so that you prepare yourself and get busy. Identify your purpose and get busy with it.
